The Reading Hospital and Medical Center currently seeks a Statistician to provide education and biostatistical analysis in support of clinical research studies. The Statistician will also promote data-driven decisions for internal clinical quality improvement activities through the validation of clinical data and analysis of results, and function as a member of multidisciplinary teams to provide epidemiologic information to the Reading Hospital Clinical and Quality leadership.

Qualifications for this exciting and challenging opportunity include:

           Master’s degree in Statistics, Business or a related discipline. Ph.D. preferred.
           3-5 years experience in data management performing statistical analysis and interpretation. Prefer experience managing healthcare-related data sets.
           Experience collaborating with others to determine what data is needed, what data exists, and how best to extract that data in a useful format.
           Experience with continuous quality improvement activities, including a working understanding of common improvement theories and techniques.
           Demonstrated knowledge of the requirements of government and private regulatory bodies as it relates to clinical data management and analysis.
           Strong working knowledge of SPSS and/or other statistical analysis software.
           Knowledge of the basic principles of biology and microbiology, epidemiologic principles, communicable disease etiology, and risk factors associated with communicable, vector-borne and chronic diseases.
           Excellent computer skills with the ability to optimize the use of available software, as well as to identify other software or information resources that will expand data analysis capabilities as well as data sets.
           Excellent communication, interpersonal and project management skills with the ability to work with a variety of individuals throughout the organization.

The Penn Law School seeks a research statistician to assist the faculty with their empirical research projects.  Penn Law faculty are actively engaged in inter-disciplinary research, and a significant and growing number of projects involve empirical research across a number of  fields, including law, economics, psychology, finance and others. It is anticipated that the work will include coding and data management, supervising student research assistants, and working with the faculty to design and analyze sophisticated empirical projects.  This is a new position and the inaugural holder will also be responsible for defining the service model to support myriad faculty needs in this burgeoning field.

Provide thought leadership to the biostatistics department of market leading specialty clinical technology and service provider focused on trial design optimization strategies related to randomization, drug management and array based diagnostics.

Leverage a comprehensive understanding of biostatistics with particular expertise in Phase I-IV trial design to help clients apply progressive technology solutions and flexible trial design concepts to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical programs.
